2. Increase blood sugar levels

Mango is a sweet fruit with a high fructose content. Granted it is a natural sugar, but taking it in excess can worsen blood sugar levels. So, eating mangoes, especially sweet ones (ripe mango), must be limited so as not to worsen the condition of diabetics.

3. Artificially ripened mangoes side effects

The side effects of mangoes cooked using calcium carbide are greater than the side effects of normal mangoes. The use of calcium carbide aims to accelerate prematurity. Normally, this mango that is forced to ripen has a bland, unsweetened taste and it has effects such as fullness, carcinogenic effects, and peripheral neuropathy effects.

4. Gastrointestinal Problems

Then, raw mango (unriped mango), consuming too much raw mango has bad effects on health, such as health problems. So, if you pay attention to your health, then stay away from consuming raw mangoes in excess.

5. Causes irritation

Unripe mangoes have a lot of sap and this sap is an irritant. It can cause irritation of the throat and for those of you who eat raw mango, it is forbidden to drink cold water because this can cause thickening of the sap in the throat cavity. If this happens, it can lead to irritation.

6. “Mango Mouth”:

The side effect of eating can also cause mouth sores due to the sap, this is called ‘mango mouth’. Among the symptoms of mango mouth are itching, blisters in the mouth, swelling, and a burning feeling on the tip of the tongue. So, if you really want to eat raw mango, limit the amount so that the potential for “mango mouth” is reduced.

7. Salmonella Infection

The side effects of eating too much mango can also cause salmonella infection. During 1999, America reported cases of salmonella caused by mangoes.

At least 78 patients had the infection from 13 countries infected with the virus. In this case 2 people died, and about 50% of the sufferers reported that they ate mangoes before being infected.

8. Mango is not good for arthritis sufferers

Mangoes also have an adverse effect on patients with arthritis, sinusitis, etc. So, for those who like mangoes, they should watch out for and be careful about consuming too many mangoes, especially raw mangoes.

9. Consuming mango in the form of juice

Mango juice does have many health benefits if you drink it without adding sugar. However, if you add artificial sugar (granulated sugar), this juice will be bad for your health, especially for those aged 40 years and over. In addition, mango juice already removes a lot of fiber, so the health benefits decrease sharply.

That said, consuming mangoes with the addition of sugar leaves mangoes empty of nutrients. When empty of nutrients, your weight gain will quickly increase. So, if you like mango juice, make sure to add sugar.

10. Causes an allergic reaction

Furthermore, the side effect of eating too much mango is causing allergies. For those of you who often have allergies or have a family history of this, you should not consume mangoes unless you are careful.

There are several types of allergies that usually appear in people who eat mangoes. Among the allergy symptoms are a runny nose, problems with breathing, stomach aches, shock and stomach aches.

With the above explanation, we understand that even though mangoes have many health benefits, eating too much mango can lead to several side effects. So, limit eating mangoes if you are healthy and stop eating mangoes if you have problems with things like the one above.
